Matcha Dipped Strawberries

Matcha Dipped Strawberries Ikimatcha.co

Sweet, ripe strawberries coated in a smooth matcha chocolate shell — simple, elegant, and completely no-bake. The natural sweetness of the berries balances the earthy depth of matcha, while a light chocolate drizzle adds just the right touch of indulgence. It looks impressive, but you can make it in minutes at home.

For best results, use a smooth, ceremonial matcha. It blends easily into melted chocolate and keeps its flavour without overpowering the strawberries.

Ingredients (Makes 10–12)

  • 10–12 fresh strawberries (washed and fully dried)

  • 100g chocolate (white or dark), chopped

  • 1½ tsp premium ceremonial matcha, sifted

  • Optional: crushed pistachios or extra chocolate for garnish

Method

1. Prepare the strawberries
Line a tray with baking paper. Make sure the strawberries are completely dry — even a little moisture can stop the chocolate from sticking properly.

2. Melt the chocolate
Use a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each round until smooth.

3. Add the matcha
Sift the matcha into the melted chocolate and whisk until fully combined. The mixture should be glossy and evenly green, with no lumps.

4. Dip and coat
Hold each strawberry by the stem, dip it into the matcha chocolate, and gently swirl. Let excess drip off before placing on the tray.

5. Garnish
While the coating is still slightly soft, drizzle extra chocolate or sprinkle crushed pistachios on top.

6. Set
Refrigerate for about 15 minutes, or until firm.
